Futon Frame

Our Bristol is a full-size sofa bed futon frame, part of our Sumatra collection. Armless is the main feature of this frame to make it look modern and airy, and the small footprint in your living room. Due to its relatively short length, you can also place it under an extra-long loft bed.

The colour of this full-size futon frame is Java which is very dark brown. In some light, you can see it as black colour. You can use Java as an excellent background colour and match or contrast your futon cover nicely.

A full-size futon sofa bed is the most common and functional size because it is like a three-seater full-size sofa bed. Full size is the same as double. To complete the sofa bed, add a futon mattress and cover.

Sumatra Collection

We have different collections of futon frames, and each has its characteristics. Our Sumatra collection, for a start, is made in Indonesia, where they have high labour standards. Frames in this collection operate on a traditional roller mechanism and feature a lounge position.

The main advantage of futon frames in this collection is their value. You get quality craft and solid wood products at a reasonable price.

We use non-toxic, low-VOC finishes for this collection.

Hardware and Assembly

We ship the hardware, instructions, and an essential Allen key with this item. You may need a Phillips screwdriver, but you do not need power tools.

Assembly of our Sumatra collection is reasonably straightforward as most pieces, including arms, seats and back decks, are pre-assembled. You only need to connect the six main large pieces. We recommend two people to assemble this futon frame.

Solid Rubberwood

We use solid rubberwood in our Sumatra collection. Rubberwood, aka Malaysian Oak, has dense grain, harder than Pine yet softer than Birch.

Latex, as well as the main ingredient of tires, is from rubber trees. Like our own Maple Syrup, Latex is also from the sap of Rubber Trees. After 25-30 years of producing Latex, a new tree goes into its place, which makes this wood a sustainable product.

Solid wood products like beds, bunk beds and futon frames are robust, easy to maintain, beautiful to look at and hold their value.
