Lolo Platform Bed

Solid wood Lolo platform bed is part of our Vanisla Collection. The name is from LOw headboard and LOw footboard, thus Lolo.

Made of solid rubberwood. Rubberwood is from a rubber tree, native to southeast Asia. It is considered hardwood and sustainable.

Features

Lolo platform bed requires no box spring. There are slats acting as a ‘platform’ for your mattress. Slats are a bit lower than the edge of mattress rais, therefore your mattress sits inside and is not going to slide around.

In the double size version, there is one metal bar going from head to footboard below the mattress. This is to distribute the wait from center to posts.

In the queen and king size version, there are two metal bars. Because of the metal bar(s), there is no obstacle under the bed.

Mattress rails connect to head/foot boards with barrel nuts and long metal screws. You will see the end of them on your footboard. For that reason, we provide wood plugs to cover them.

Slats

Slats are made of solid wood as well. They are layers of glued wood, as in plywood, for extra strength. You may see some puddy here and there which is normal.

Usage

Lolo bed is perfect for any age. Kids, teens, or adults all can use this bed without a problem. It's simple design gives you a lot of flexibility on how and where to use your bed. Feel free to add a padded headboard to your wall and put a Lolo bed below it.

Underbed Storage

You can add matching drawers and a trundle storage bed under this bed. For a double size bed, you can add 4 drawers, two on either side. For queen and king size, there will be a little gap if you add drawers since they are designed for single (twin) and double (full).

You will see the drawers from the foot of your bed since the footboard is open.

Mattress

Standard size mattress fits this bed just fine. Unlike our bunk beds, there is no restriction on how thick of a mattress you can use.

On our King size version, mattress rails are 81” long. So please measure your mattress to avoid a large gap.

We sell mattresses and accessories separately since we have more than one style to choose and some people already have them.

Assembly

Assembly of the Lolo platform bed is fairly simple. No need to assemble the head/footboards. You need to connect mattress rails to head and footboards, add metal bar(s), and slats. There are 8 wood screws securing the slats to mattress rails.
