Hardwood Bunk Bed with Vertical Ladder, Curtains, Tent and Slide

This hardwood bunk bed is part of our Modular Design collection. This hardwood bunk bed with a vertical ladder comes with a tent, a curtain and a slide. You can choose to install this ladder or slide on the left or right hand side.

We have three headboard styles to choose from namely Curve, Slat and Panel style. Curved headboard is 4" taller than the other two headboards.

You can also choose three different color options of White, Natural and Chestnut finish.

This loft bed is also available in one height of 61 inches.

Finally, this loft bed comes in the twin size.

Usability

The modular design means you have zillions of options of use and lots of possibilities in the future. This is because you can purchase pieces individually which in turn gives you lots of flexibility.

Our modular design hardwood bunk bed is suitable for use by kids, teens or adults. You can divide this bunk bed into two separate beds.

Use it as your everyday bed for one child or a spare bed for two kids. Vertical ladder makes the footprint of this bunk very minimal.

Under Bed Storage

You can add a storage trundle under this bunk bed, or normal trundle bed for allowing an extra mattress. Alternatively, you can add an under bed dresser or a set of two drawers. These items are independent units so you can add them later on if you choose to.

Solid Wood Frame

We use solid hardwood for this bunk bed. Our factory uses Aspen, Maple, or Birch wood interchangeably for the production of this unit. To achieve maximum strength, we use premium knot-free hardwood for this bunk bed.

Its slats are made of plywood. They are about 2.5” wide and 2.5” apart from each other. Each slat comes with holes. So, you can secure every slat to the frame with two wood screws.

Safety of your bunk bed

This modular design hardwood bunk bed can hold a tested 400lb weight capacity on the upper deck. The lower deck can almost also hold the same weight, but we do not test the lower deck.

All sizes have center support on the upper deck except for the twin. For the lower deck, the center support is available only for XL sizes and Queen sizes.

The modular design has 4 metal pings, purpose built Rocklocks which lock the upper and lower headboards.

We use acrylic paint for the white finish. For natural and chestnut finishes we use nc lacquer (nitro cellulose). Also, we test the finishes for chemical compliance with US and EU safety standards.

Ladder

Ladder is vertical for this hardwood bunk bed. Vertical ladder is harder to climb than the angle ladder but takes less space. You can install this ladder on either the left or right-hand side of your bunk bed to suit your space. If you plan to use a trundle bed or underbed storage, a vertical ladder is going to work better.

The ladder is thick and sturdy. It has anti-slip grooves and each rung is almost 3” wide.

Slide

This slide is made of solid hardwood and MDF surface for easy sliding. It comes with two hooks which hook to the mattress rails and these make it easy to remove the slide as and when you want. You can secure these hooks to the mattress rail using screws. For extra safety and to secure the slide, we have extra safety pieces which go over the hooks so that you do not remove the slide accidentally.

You can install the slide on the left or right side.

Tent

The tent is a top tent, its wooden structure matches the bed frame and its fabric colors match the curtains.This tent is a super fun feature for kids. It keeps them in their room for longer with lots of possibilities for playing.

Curtain

We have two curtain pieces for this bunk bed, one curtain is for the front and another is for the side. However, additional curtain pieces are available to cover another side of your bunk bed. The curtain is available in many colors with matching bolsters and pillows which enhance its look and function.

We use simple velcro to attach the curtains to the frame. Therefore, you can easily add or remove the curtains for washing or when your child outgrows the look.

Assembly

Assembly of this Modular Design hardwood bunk bed is reasonably simple. No need to assemble the headboards. You need to assemble the ladder, the guard rails, connect mattress rails, and slats. The tricky bit is installing the Rocklock.

Mattress

Standard size mattress fits this bunk bed just fine. For the upper bunk, you can use a maximum 6” thick mattress. For the lower bunk, depending on which height you are going to choose, use a mattress between 6 to 8” thick.
