Sooke Bunk Bed with mattresses
Single over Single Sooke bunk bed in White Finish is part of our Vanisla Collection. The name is from a small town on the south-west side of Vancouver Island.
Made of solid rubberwood. Rubberwood is from a rubber tree, native to southeast Asia. It is considered hardwood and sustainable.
You can add a Vanisla storage trundle under the bunk bed or use a hanging tray for extra storage. Vanisla drawers do not fit under this bunk.
Sooke bunk bed stands at height of 61”. Standard ceiling is 96” so you have plenty of space on the top. Clearance on the lower section, however, is the tight side. This height is ideal for rooms with a low ceiling, or if you have only one child who loves to sleep on a bunk bed and keep the lower bunk for sleepover or guests. It is also perfect for grandkids.
This bunk divides into two beds. After you separate the bunk, your two beds will not look identical.
Sooke bunk bed is perfect for any age. Kids, teens, or adults all can use this bunk without a problem. This is because it can hold 220 lbs of weight on the upper bunk. We tested it in our store, two of us climbed the bunk and sat on top w/o any issues or hearing any noise. Although weight wise this bunk is fine for adults, lower bunk might be tight for some people. For prolonged use for adults, we have better options for you.
There are 4 metal pings between upper and lower bunk. You do not see them, they are inside the wood. They are about 3” in length.
Sooke bunk bed uses a vertical ladder which is harder to climb, but easier to access under the bunk and saves more space.
You can install the ladder on the right or left side. No need to specify this when you order. This is the default option. You decide on where to install it during assembly.
Assembly of Sooke bunk is fairly simple. All 4 headboards and ladder are assembled. You need to install guard rails, connect mattress rails, and slats.
Slats are made of solid wood as well. They are layers of glued wood, as in plywood, for extra strength. You may see some puddy here and there which is normal.
Standard single also called twin, size mattress fits this loft bed just fine. From the top of the slats to top of the guardrails, you have 12” of space. Therefore we recommend using a mattress with 6” of thickness for both upper and lower bunk.
Price includes a bunk bed frame which ladder is part of and two 6" high density foam mattresses from our Italian collection

Atlantic and Territories
For Atlantic Canada and Territories, please contact us for the shipping rate.
Our products are bulky and heavy. Shipping is a significant portion of the total cost. Normally, the shipping rate can cost anywhere from %10 to %30 of actual products. For the time being, we can not offer a flat rate to the Atlantic and Territories.
Our shipping rate is for the basic door-to-door, or curbside, delivery. Curbside means the driver is not entering inside the premise of your house, apartment, or property.
The shipping rate we offer is for major cities (cities with ~10k population or more) within mentioned provinces. For rural communities, townships, resorts, or cities on small islands, we may have to ship to the nearest depot for you to pick up from.
The location of depots depends on which shipping company we use for your city. It all depends on who gives us the best rate at the time of getting a quote.
Sorry, we can not ship to PO Box addresses. We do need a physical address to ship to.
We use all major, or even minor, shipping and courier companies. After you place your order, we contact a lot of companies to get the best rate possible.
Once we know which company is going to take care of your shipment, we get a tracking number. As soon as products are shipped, we email you the tracking number along with their website of the shipping company so you can track it yourself.
When you receive your order from the courier or trucking company, please inspect each box before signing of. If you see any external damage, write it on the waybill or inform the driver in case of touchless service.
After you open your boxes and find damage(s) on products, please take multiple images and email them to us. We need to know precisely which item you need a replacement for.
