Duncan Bunk Bed

This solid wood twin over twin Duncan bunk bed bundle consists of a bunk bed frame and two drawers. 

The Duncan bunk bed is part of our Vanisla Collection. It is perfect for kids, teens or adults as it can hold 220 pounds on top and bottom bunk. You can separate our Duncan bunk bed later on into two individual free-standing beds. Ladder is not reversible and you can install it only on the right side. Duncan Bunk Bed has matching style of guardrails to upper headboards. Also lower headboards have built-in vanity panels so you would not see the side of under bed drawers. 

Size of this bunk bed is Twin over Full which is also known as single over double. If you have space, this is the most useful size. 

Colour is in White finish and it is pure paint therefore you can not see the wood grains. You can match the white color bunk bed with any bedding or existing furniture since there is little variation in pure white color.

Each of our collections is produced at a different factory, with its own materials and manufacturing standards. The Vanisla line comes from a factory that emphasizes keeping costs down. As a result, it is normal to see cosmetic imperfections such as small dings, surface marks, or uneven finish in this line. These do not affect the strength or safety of the beds.

If you’re looking for durable solid wood with budget in mind, Vanisla is a practical choice. If you prefer finer craftsmanship, smoother finishes, and higher QC standards, we recommend our other collections, which are made in different factories.

We use non-toxic, low-VOC finishes in this collection.

Solid wood

Our Vanisla collection is made of solid rubberwood. Rubberwood, aka Malaysian Oak, has dense grain, harder than Pine yet softer than Birch. Latex, as well as the main ingredient of tires, is from rubber trees. Similar to our own Maple Syrup, Latex is also from the sap of Rubber Tree. After 25-30 years of producing Latex, the tree is cut and a new one goes in its place, which makes this wood a sustainable product.  

Solid wood products like beds, loft beds and bunk beds are strong, easy to maintain, beautiful to look at and hold their value. 

Slats and Mattress

Slats in our Vanisla collection are made of plywood. Each slat is 2.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches apart from each other for a total of 14 slats per bed. You do not need to use a box spring or bunkie board. 

Standard size mattress fits this collection just fine. We recommend using a six inches thick mattress for bunk and loft beds in this collection and for regular bed frames, use any thickness you wish. 

Hardware and Assembly

We use matching color hardware for this collection which is bronze finish for light wood color and dark color hardware for darker woods. Hardware and instructions are included as well as a basic allen key. You need a Phillips screwdriver and do not need power tools. 

Assembly of our Vanisla collection is reasonably simple as most pieces, including headboards and ladder, are pre-assembled. Assembly of the underbed drawers are a bit more tricky. We recommend two adults for easier assembly.
