Plywood Bunk Bed

This engineered plywood  bunk bed construction is part of our Plywood collection, featuring a 73” height profile. It is designed with durability, stability, and space efficiency in mind, making it a practical solution for modern living spaces.

The bed comes with an angled end-mounted ladder, providing safe and easy access to the upper sleeping area. Its ergonomic design ensures a comfortable climbing experience, while the angled position improves stability compared to traditional vertical ladders.

You can add side and front vanity panels for this bunk bed, or an under bed dresser, or a set of two drawers. These items are independent units, so you can add them later if you choose.

The bed is designed as a Twin XL over Twin XL, Queen over Queen, and King over King making it ideal for shared rooms or compact spaces. The overall height is 73 inches. Supports up to 800 lbs per sleep surface.

Color, or stain, is available in Natural finish, Dark Brown, and Pecan finish.

Plywood Frame

We use high-quality furniture-grade plywood for this bunk bed. Plywood is known for its strength, durability, and resistance to warping, which makes it an excellent material for bunk beds.

The multi-layer structure of plywood provides superior stability while keeping the bed lightweight and strong.

Slats are also made from plywood. They are approximately 2.5” wide and spaced about 2.5” apart. Each slat includes pre-drilled holes for securing it to the frame with two wood screws.

Safety of Your Bunk Bed

This plywood bunk bed features a tested 400 lb weight capacity on the upper deck. The lower deck can also support a similar weight.

The upper bunk features full-length guardrails for added safety.

Strong metal connectors securely lock the upper and lower sections together, providing additional stability and durability.

All finishes are low VOC and tested for compliance with US and EU safety standards.

Ladder

You can install the ladder on either the left or right-hand side of your bunk bed to suit your space. Ladder is Angled for this bunk bed. Angled ladder is easier to climb than the vertical ladder but takes more space. However, if you plan to use a trundle bed or underbed storage, a vertical ladder is going to work better.

Assembly

The assembly of this Plywood Collection bunk bed is relatively simple because the headboards arrive pre-assembled.

The only components that require assembly are the ladder, mattress rails, and slats.

Mattress

Standard-size mattresses fit this bunk bed.

For the upper bunk, we recommend using a mattress up to 6” thick for safety.

For the lower bunk, use a mattress 6”-8” thick, depending on your preferred sleeping height.
