Solid Hardwood Daybed with front Guardrail

This solid hardwood daybed with a front guardrail is part of our Modular Collection. The name is for the fact that this solid hardwood daybed is a simple bed, made of a few building blocks which can be transformed into any type of bed using additional pieces, which gives you a lot of choices.

This Modular design solid hardwood daybed comes in five different sizes you can choose from.

You can choose from three different color options of White, Natural and Chestnut finish for your daybed.

We have three main headboard styles to choose from namely: Curve, Slat, Panel style. We also make use of Low equal headboard heights on both ends of this daybed. Please note: the curved headboard is 4” taller than the Slatted and Panel headboard.

Usability

This Modular design solid hardwood daybed provides you with zillion options of use and lots of possibilities in the future. This is because this solid hardwood daybed is a type of platform bed with a guard rail that connects both the headboard and footboard which you can use for sleeping and lounging.

If you wish to, you can add a few other pieces, sold separately, and convert this daybed to a bunk bed or only use it as a bed frame. You can also use this modular design daybed for kids, teens and adults.

Solid Wood Frame

We use solid hardwood for this daybed. Our factory uses Aspen, Maple, or Birch wood interchangeably for the production of this unit. To achieve maximum strength, we use premium knot-free hardwood for this daybed.

Its slats are made of plywood. They are about 2.5” wide and 2.5” apart from each other. Each slat comes with holes. So, you can secure every slat to the frame with two wood screws.

Underbed Storage

This collection offers a variety of underbed storage solutions. You can add a storage trundle under this daybed, or a normal trundle bed for allowing an extra mattress. These items are independent units so you can add them later on if you choose to.

Safety

This solid hardwood daybed has an actual weight capacity of 400 lb. We have also successfully tested this daybed with up to 800 lb in our factory but we recommend staying within the actual weight capacity.

We use a wooden center support bar for our full size beds and a metal center support bar for extra long and queen size beds.

This daybed has an additional front guardrail for extra safety which makes it suitable to use for younger kids.

Assembly

We recommend two adults for the assembly of this Modular Design solid hardwood daybed. It is super simple. No need to assemble the headboards, you just have to connect mattress rails, the guard rails, and slats. This hardware and the Allen key are included in the package but you will need to have a Phillips screwdriver additionally for the assembly.

Mattress

A standard size mattress fits this daybed just fine. We recommend using a six or eight inches thick mattress for this daybed, especially if you are planning to convert this daybed to a bunk or loft later on.

For extra long versions, you will need an extra-long size mattress and bed sheets which are readily available.
