Usability

This Modular Design solid hardwood student desk with 2 drawers and wheels is a multifunctional piece. You can use this student desk as a stand alone piece, as a regular study desk. Its two drawers stack; you can install them on the left or right side to fit perfectly to your room orientation.

Also, this student desk’s height is equal to the clearance of our 51” Modular design loft bed collection. This means that you can neatly tuckaway your desk under your loft bed. The wheels feature makes it easy for you to roll this study desk in and out your loft bed. These wheels are optional and come with the desk. Finally, our modular design solid hardwood student desk is suitable for kids, teens or adults and you can use it at home or in commercial settings such as a BnB.

Solid Wood production

Our factory uses Aspen, Maple, or Birch wood interchangeably for the production of this unit. To achieve maximum strength, we use premium knot-free hardwood veneer, factory select. Solid hardwood furniture is sturdy, easy to maintain, and holds its value.

Drawers

This student desk is a solid wood frame and the drawers to this student desk have a solid wood face but the inside part of the drawers is made of plywood, with a soft close feature. This soft close is a nice feature to have because it adds to longevity of your desk unit and also adds to the pleasure of using it.

All drawers use dovetail joints for maximum strength and durability. There are no visible metal rollers when you open and close the drawers since we use a hidden mechanism for a cleaner look.

Knobs on each drawer are also solid wood and in matching color. If you wish to opt for a different look, we do offer a nice collection of them. See our knobs collection.

Safety

The drawers to this solid hardwood study desk have safety pins to prevent you from accidentally pulling the drawers out. Should you need to take out these drawers completely, you need to release the pins first. These safety pins are hidden under each drawer.

Assembly

The assembly of this Modular Design solid hardwood student desk mostly happens in our factory. That is, the drawer stack is ready out of the box and you only need to attach sides to the top and connect the drawers. By partially assembling this student desk at our factory, we ensure the sturdiness of your casegood since we can use stronger joinery compared to DIY assembly at home.
