Perhaps because it is not showing dirt, or we have so many grey days in our west coast city. Whatever is the reason, this beautiful color is an easy choice to make.

Size

Our bean bag chair medium size is rectangular in shape. Empty cover, laying flat on the floor, is 47 inches by 63 inches. Due to the lumpy nature of bean bags, it is not easy to calculate the assembled dimension, so approximately its width is 46” and its depth is around 26” and height is at 48”.

Shipping Size

This medium size bean bag chair ships in one box. Box dimension is 30” long by 20” wide by 33” high.

Inside the box, you will find beans inside a mesh bag and this mesh bag is inside a plastic bag. We put the cover inside this box as well, so you will receive these two pieces inside one box.

Be careful when you are trying to open the box. Do not use a sharp object to open the box as it may puncture the mesh bag and cause beans to fly all over.

Assembly

It is super easy to assemble this bean bag chair. After you open the box and pull out the cover and the mesh bag, you are ready to assemble. The cover is a big rectangular bag. Just like putting a pillow inside a pillowcase, you need to grab the mesh bag and put it inside the cover.

Make sure to push the corner of the mesh bag to the inside edge of the cover so as to ensure a perfect fit. After that, close the zipper on the cover but leave a few inches open. At this point, if you like, push the air out of the cover, then close the zipper. Close the velcro after closing the zipper. Now you are ready to use your bean bag chair.

Covers

The cover of this bean bag chair is made of polyester, therefore it is easy to clean and very durable. We triple stitch the seams for maximum strength. One short edge of the cover has a full-length zipper and reinforced with velcro to make sure no beads can escape. Our bean bag covers are waterproof and UV resistant.

Beans or Beads

Beans, or beads, come in a separate mesh bag. We use a polyester mesh bag so it flexes and moves and lasts. The mesh bag has a small zipper to allow you to add more beans when needed or pull some out if you desire.

They are made from polystyrene which is the same material as styrofoam you see in electronics packaging. The difference is that our beans are more like beads, hence we also call them virgin beads. More importantly, our beans are higher in density and therefore they last a lot longer than some bags with recycled beans.

Our beans do get flattened over time. It really depends on how you use them. Kids tend to jump on them which of course ….

If you need to add extra beans, we do sell them in small bags. It will take you a long time before you need it.

Usage

You can use rectangular bean bags in three ways. Stand the bag on its short edge and use it as a chair; stand it on its long edge and use it as a lounger; or lay it flat and lie down on it.

Our bean bags are good for any age and any place. They are perfect indoor and outdoor or use them at home or in the office. You can even use them in public settings such as schools and libraries since they are very durable. Please note that these bean bags are not for use in a swimming pool.

This medium size bean bag chair is more practical for kids, teens and smaller built adults. Medium size is a perfect all-rounder size, but it is a little small for adults and a little large for younger kids.
